Every water garden, every koi pond, every waterfall, and even every patio we build is an expression of us as people. This business was started in 2007 when Nick spotted a need for good service, in an industry that seemed to value the work, but not the client.
For us, the client is the work. As always, the golden rule stands: Treat others as you want to be treated. Beyond that level of service, you can expect Pond King to utilize the newest technologies, the most efficient ecosystems, and the most effective building techniques to create a one-of-a-kind personal oasis for you and your family.

Nick Needham
Owner/Founder
Nick “The Pond King” started Pond King Water Gardens in 2007 and has been building water features since 2003! He is our lead water feature artist and to this day is involved with every single project. Big or small, you are in good hands with Nick building your water feature!
Justin Weist
Co-Owner
Justin “The Wizard” has been a business partner of Nick’s since 2013. He graduated with a business marketing degree from Bemidji State and has been doing hardscapes for the better part of 10 years. He has helped expand our product line to include paver patios, retaining walls, and any other hardscape you can think of. He is also in charge of the day-to-day operations of our business, marketing & finance.
Adam King "The Garden Gnome"
Visionary, Craftsman, Nature Enthusiast
Adam is the kind of teammate every great project needs. Known affectionately as “The Garden Gnome,” he brings a visionary mindset to every build, helping shape the overall flow, layout, and feeling of a space before the first rock is ever set.
He has a natural gift for turning raw landscapes into living works of art. Whether he’s guiding the placement of boulders, designing plant layouts, or jumping in wherever help is needed, Adam thrives in the creative process and shows up every day with a can-do attitude and a heart for the team.
While he excels at seeing the big picture, Adam isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty in the details. His artistic eye, willingness to support others, and genuine love for nature make him a huge asset to our crew and the clients we serve.
Dave Weist
Maintenance
Dave “The Stress Mitigator” is Justin’s Father and our trusty maintenance man! Many of you know him because any time any one of our clients has an issue, Dave is out there to handle it. He has been an extremely valuable addition to our team. He loves his job and is a huge asset!
Brad Foster "The Handyman"

Brad is our patient Swiss Army knife—the guy who can do it all, and do it well. With over five years of experience under his belt, Brad brings a rare mix of precision, adaptability, and quiet confidence to every jobsite. Whether it’s leading full pond builds or jumping in to assist a teammate, Brad approaches every project with steady hands and sharp focus.
He’s traveled with us across the country, building stunning water features in places like South Carolina, Illinois, and Arizona. Wherever he goes, Brad’s craftsmanship speaks for itself. From rock placement to plumbing to those subtle finishing touches that elevate a feature from good to unforgettable, Brad brings a master’s eye and an artist’s heart.
But what truly sets Brad apart is his patience and team spirit. He’s always calm under pressure, willing to help wherever needed, and deeply invested in the success of the entire crew. We’re grateful to have him, and our clients are better off for it.
